Hi, I’m Karen

I love my job! I have been in the real estate industry for over ten years. I grew up in Frederick County and returned to raise my two girls. I also have an old, sweet beagle and two lovable cats.

When my oldest daughter was diagnosed at age 16 with leukemia, our wonderful community joined together and helped us out so much. I am happy to report that my daughter recently rang the bell in March 2023!! During her cancer journey, I kept thinking of how I could say thank you and pay it back to our community. I created my Karen Kares program where I make a donation after each of my closings to local organizations that mean a great deal to me….be sure to check out my Karen Kares page for more information.

I love volunteering in my community. Whether it is giving my time with the Stonewall Ruritan Club, helping stuff teen cancer bags with Bite Me Cancer, or donating to various charities and organizations.
